WBA "regular" flyweight champion Juan Carlos Reveco (33-1, 18KOs) will get a stern test when he defends his title against Felix Alvarado (18-1, 15KOs) on June 6th at Villa La Ñata Sporting Club in Benavídez, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Reveco will return for the second time this year, after knocking out Manuel Vides in two rounds in March. On December 31, Alvarado suffered the first pro loss of his career, when he dropped a twelve round decision to then WBA junior flyweight champion Kazuto Ioka.

Alvarado is a decent opponent, but why is Reveco's management not trying to put him in with the best flyweights? He actually has talent and a hell of a punch, but they keep putting him in with B-level opponents rather than getting him in with the big boys. Effers are milking his paper belt rather than putting him in big-money fights he might actually win.
