    All Time World Heavyweight Tourney

Ok, pick the top 8 heavies you'd like to see in a tourney together from any point in history. Rank them and then place them in fights and predict who you think would win. Now these 8 heavies don't have to be the best ever, just guys you think would make for entertaining bouts.

I'm gona exclude Ali and Louis just to make it a little more interesting. So my 8 seeded (all in their primes):

    1. Foreman
    2. Lewis
    3. Frazier
    4. Holyfield
    5. Marciano
    6. Tyson
    7. Dempsey
    8. Shavers

    Round 1:

    Foreman(1) v Shavers(8) - Winner Foreman by KO8
    Lewis(2) v Dempsey(7) - Winner Lewis by UD
    Frazier(3) v Tyson(6) - Winner Frazier by KO10
    Holyfield(4) v Marciano(5) - Winner Holyfield by UD

    Semi-Final:

    Foreman(1) v Holyfield(4) - Foreman by KO6
    Lewis(2) v Frazier(3) - Frazier winner by KO10

    Final:

Foreman v Frazier - The seen is set at the MGM Grand, packed house, biggest PPV draw ever. But it's a mismatch and Foreman does a number on Frazier, obliterating him in 2 rounds.

*All fights are 12 rounds with modern gloves

Excellent post m8, I like the seedlings and match ups and I agree with you on all the results apart from one were I personally believe Marciano beats Holyfield. I agree with the ultimate winner and hardest one for me would have been Lewis- Frazier although I ultimately agree with you and I think Frazier would have edged it towards the end.

On a side not, would have like to see Sonny there

      Thanks!

Marciano definitely has a shot against Holy, his power if anything is a great weapon but I just think Holy would have been too quick and too skilled, making Marciano's slow, uncoordinated feet work too hard.

Frazier v Lewis was a tough one for me too, Lewis has the height, reach advantages and a terrific jab but his feet were slower than Frazier and Frazier loved boxers and counter punchers, he would have barreled in all night long and eventually a left hook gets through and stops Lewis.

it's a damn close fight and neither guy "wrecks" the other but I just think Frazier had more heart and grit and was a better all round fighter. Tyson could get bullied and when he did, he didn't like it, his work rate dropped and his heart broke. Even when frazier was getting battered, he'd keep coming forward and keep getting the win.
