I was ok with the first two fight decisions. I thought Pac knocking down JMM 3 times and then JMM dominating most of the fight afterwards was justified in a draw.

Then in the 2nd it was razor close, but I was ok with Pac winning.

In the 3rd though, I thought JMM won and so did Pac by the way. Nacho made a very interesting comment about how he would have to change the strategy for the 4th fight and he did.

The 4th fight Pac wasn't dominating like Max said, JMM won the early rounds, including knocking Pac down with a huge overhand right. Then he himself was knocked down, but we can all agree it was more of a balance shot which we know JMM always gets dropped from.

Then Pac took over in the 4th through 6th round, but was caught with a beautiful right hand to end the series.

Max has issues with Mexican fighters, he really does. He rarely gives them credit at all and seems to make excuses for Pac particularly.
Pacquiao was still eating counters, he landed a some right hands that people dont want to give him credit for , I wouldn't say Pac was dominating, but winning the rounds, the 6th was where he was dominating, and Marquez still answered back.

Pac got better and better? He got outboxed a majority of the rounds in their third fight. Marquez should have gotten the nod in the third, most people seemed to think so and they had to do it again. That ended bad for Pac. JMM is older and slower now and he probably won't get the KO opportunity again so if they do it a fifth time, Pac will likely get the decision. I get why Pac fans want this fight but i don't see why Marquez would need it...

Marquez has won more rounds overall in their four fights and he is the only one who has scored a conclusive victory.

I don't think he has anything more to prove against Pacquiao.

Marquez is my favorite boxer ever but damn, to have him winning by three points in the first fight ? Each time I saw it I thought Pac won at least by one point.

The two are complete opposites but I would say Pac is better than JMM. I believe that their first 3 fights might be toss-up (though one judge admitted of making error on his scorecard by favoring JMM instead of Pac, in their rematch that consequently ended into draw). But Pac able to floor and hurt JMM of their fights, while JMM showed how he could survive and outpoint Pac most half of the remaining rounds! The 4rth fight has no difference, except that while Pac dominating round after round, he was suddenly KO’ed cold by JMM one punched in 6th round making the fight remained inconclusive as to who was better boxer between them overall.

Outside their rivalries, Pac had defeated most notable fighters that I believed JMM could not do the same, although JMM had won in every matched he fought too but the level of opponents makes the difference. I agree the 2 had fought more than enough but still JMM needs to fight once more against a willing Pac in a hope to find the definitive better fighter between the 2 before their rivalries will end and put into rest.

Max is 100% right, JMM won at least 3/4. I thought the first fight was a draw, but JMM won the 3rd 7-5 IMO.

Pacquiao pretty much won the first fight, what people forget is that one of the judges scored the first round incorrectly, giving his overall scorecard as a draw. Yet you don't ever hear Pac *****ing about it like a little girl.

I can't imagine a win for JMM in that first fight, Pac was 4 points up after the first round and then clearly won the second, so already he is 5 points up. Even if you give Marquez the next 5 rounds, without any points for Pac, after 7 rounds JMM is barely drawing the fight....we're supposed to believe that JMM won that many rounds on the trot in a close fight and won the majority of round post 7? It's ridiculous and I guarantee most pplo who argue that haven't seen the fight.

The second fight is a better argument for a draw but I gave it to Pac by 2 points, one extra point cos of that KD.

Then we have the first fight, which I've only seen once but I felt JMM won it and won it well and ofc the KO, admittedly suspect but KO none the less of Pac in the 4th. The series should really be 2-2.

Sad thing is, JMMs entire legacy hinges on his fights with Pac cos he has b arely any wins over true top level opponents outside of that, losses to Floyd and John. Wins over b level sluggers and part timers and shot rivals (Barrera).

Pacquiao has an entire legacy beyond JMM...JMM does not. It reminds me of the animosity of Frazier towards Ali, Ali was more than Frazier, sadly Frazier was never more than Ali.

I had Pac winning the first fight, Marquez winning the 2nd fight by one point, and Marquez winning the 3rd fight by 2 points.
