Cotto wasn't able to do it, Mosley wasn't able to do it, only Margacheato had Manny sat on the ropes after that wicked body punch. Yes he have that power hence the name Dinamita, but why he couldn't bring PAC down on their previous 3 fights even though he landed those straight hand square on Pac's jaw? Why is that?
You sound like Floyd when he said how did Manny drop Cotto, Mosley couldnt do it so how did Manny?

To be fair the only su****ious thing was the horrendous acne.

Real talk, most dudes were saying "wow of course Manny looks good against Rios"
Alvarado let himself get lit up, but it was pretty funny how he was sayin **** in his corner after he got KD

      Alvarado: "Fuck he has power"
Trainer: "Do you know where you are?"
      Alvarado: "Nah!"

Trust me, casuals will always be su****ious. I watch boxing occasionally with a friend who NEVER follows/watches the sport. After the Alvarado/marquez fight he was talking about Pac/Marquez:
"What if it was a lucky punch tho? oooo"

Hes always had power! The guy has more K.Os than most fighters these days have fights!

Marquez K.O'd Ramos with the same punch he dropped Alvarado with, I don't think he was with Memo then. He certainly wasn't in the 2nd fight where he lifted Pac clean off his feet with that same punch! Alvarado went to throw the same shot and Marquez's got there first & landed as flush as you like.

Because he went down funny people claimed that was a dive. Look at the guys jaw at 0.19
        **** on the button

Didn't he drop Pac in the third fight with it too?

Its one of his signature punches.

its similar yes but to try and compare those 2 knockdowns as the same is ridiculous its plan as day that their is way more force behind his punch on alvarado

lol just get those sports science guys to figure it out if marquez is stronger before memo or after memo. Thought the one thing people got remember is memo is considered the best in the world at what he does even when he dont use ped thats the thing he could be using something thats cutting edge but not illegal

If men like Jake LaMotta were still in boxing he would be ashamed of all these brawlers who dont even roll with the punches nevertheless slip them.

If you don't roll with the punches you wont take any steam off.

Ever since that Pac KO apparently technique has nothing to do with generating power for Marquez.

A car hits another head on both going 40mph, that is a 80mph impact and they probably aren't getting out in a hurry.

Steroids and such should not be the question. The question is just WTF was Pacman doing? It mystifies me to this day.
It's like when a robber successfully takes all the cash out of the register, and for some odd reason decides to go for the box of cigarettes which ends up getting him caught. All seemed well, the proceeding round may have been an ugly one for Marquez, I think Pacquiao was ecstatic at the fact that he's never seen Marquez look that vulnerable before and it got him killed.

That said, it's weird how people bring up PEDs when Marquez looked slower than he's ever looked, everything about him was off that night and it certainly wasn't Pacquiao's doing entirely. It's kind of comical that Pacquiao lost to the most vulnerable looking Marquez.

I've always thought the same thing as far as Marquez looking slow and showing his age in the 4th fight. IMO he looked much better in the 3rd fight, in fact that's the best I've seen of Marquez since he fought at lightweight including the fight against Alvarado if you take into account the level of opposition. His timing and speed were on point and he truly put on a great performance that night.

I agree, Marquez in the 3rd fight was masterful, a lot sharper with noticeably better movement. This notion that Marquez was some monster in the 4th fight is mythical, he was simply very determined and it got him through.

Go take a look at some older Marquez fights and you will see for yourself that Kellerman is wrong.

Very different gameplan I don't even think he landed a combination in that 4th fight it was only single punches either straight rights or left hooks to the body. That left uppercut to a straight right was a thing of beauty that 3rd fight, and it seemed like he landed it every time he threw it.
