Yeah, that was definitely odd. Lopez was one of the most amazing technical talents of the last 20 years and, in my estimation, one of the most fluid combination punchers ever, yet no mention of him anytime the networks discuss Nacho.

I guess they assume people didn't watch Lopez much or something.

To me, Ricardo Lopez is the definitive fighter trained by Beristain and, like Marquez, an absolute beauty to watch in the ring.

Damn, watching the video again I'd almost forgotten what explosive punching power Lopez had for being such a small guy. He'd hit dudes and they'd damn near evaporate before our eyes.

I'm not sure why more fighters throw the left uppercut-overhand right combination as Marquez throws it. It looks like such an effective weapon when he uses it.

Great combination punching but the speed last night was unbelievable.

Same. I used to be a big fan before the whole ducking Pacquiao fiasco though.

However, it is so hard not to respect him as a fighter. It's a joy to watch him move inside the ring, counter punch, attack... His combination of finesse and agressivenes is just beautiful to watch. I admire his willingness to exchange and fight like a true warrior even when he doesn't necesarilly need to.

I tip my hat off to the great Marquez.

Both are at the bottom 25 of the list
