There are plenty of reasons why the fight won't be made. But the most telling is the Chocolate doesn't want it.

It's Al Haymon who doesn't want it, he told Quillin the Golovkin fight is good when it's a big PPV fight, so he'll wait around for that fight or fight Canelo.

The question remains if Quillin has an exclusive contract with Showtime. He has a contract with Haymon and GBP, but I am not sure he has the deal with Showtime.

GBP has an exclusive contract with Showtime.... which makes me wonder if Top Rank won the Loma/GR JR purse bid.

If they'd have to put it on Showtime or if they can put it on HBO.

Then again... GR JR is supposedly not tied down to GBP and a free agent

GBP doesnt have an exclusive contract with showtime, otherwise all GBP fighters could only fight on Showtime. Im pretty sure its a fighter by fighter bases
