A 14 year old boy has died after being knocked out in a boxing event at a barangay fiesta celebration in San Isidro, Davao del Norte.

Johnny Amar was knocked out in the 2nd round and was rushed to the Kapalong District Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

A nightmare and a sad tragedy. May the God be with this family in such a difficult time. RIP little man. May we look at the importance of, Head gear, ironically gloves, and drugs in this sport a little closer and not let this happen to anyone else.( understanding that one may not have Anything to do with another, but safety and fairness should always be priority)
