Maidana couldn't KO a fossilized Morales and Amir Khan (both men who ended up outboxing him), but he's going to KO/TKO one of the most resilient and tough fighters of this generation? I have no problem with people saying Maidana would win, he's the bigger man and in his prime while Marquez is 40+, but let's not talk nonsense here. Styles make fights and just because he looked good against defensive minded fighters like Mayweather and Broner doesn't mean he'll just walk through Marquez. JMM would welcome Maidana to come forward aggressively as it would present him with numerous openings and counter shots. The only reason this fight seems close to call or some would favor Maidana is because Marquez is old and has no legs anymore; Maidana would have been tailor made for prime Marquez if they had been in the same division.

Marquez looks spectacular last night against a slow, hesitant, gun shy Alvarado. But he got drop by that slow mofo, now imagine Maidana bull rushing Marquez while throwing those punches in weird and unexpected angles. I think Maidana will stop Marquez via TKO. I notice that whenever Alvarado touches Marquez body he kinda stoop down a bit seems he get hurt by those body shots. I believe Maidana have a longer reach than Manuel, and he have that snapping jab to set his right hand, plus Chino is a lot bigger than Alvarado.

Marquez's accuracy and counter punching would probably neutralize Maidana's aggressive, come-forward style and give him a very close decision. Would be a hell of a fight, that's for sure.

I disagree. Marquez looked as strong as he's ever been in the past and was very quick too.
