"Dinamita" Marquez vs "The Blueprint" Maidana @147: Who wins?

I like this fight because while JMM is one of the best counter punchers and combination punchers we have seen, he can be blown over like a feather with a crisp, well placed shot, then get right back up and go to calculated war. Maidana on the other hand has underrated defense and speed, and his power is legendary, it would be a great fight in which I see Marquez tested win or lose.

Considering Marquez has never beat a true WW not named "i got yo numba" Pac, and was getting dropped easily at 135. Maidanas relentless pressure, awkward defense, and offense stop Marquez in 10.

Marquez looked pretty vulnerable whenever Alvarado traded w/him. The Maidana Mayweather fought is better than Alvarado in every single way imaginable.

I think if Maidana dropped him hard the way Alvarado did, he certainly wouldn't let him off the hook as easily. I think it could end in a Maidana UD w/a knockdown or maybe a technical stoppage if Marquez get's dropped several times in a round or if hit by a flurry while on the ropes after getting dropped hard.

I could not decide so I voted a draw. Maidana hits much harder than Alvarado so he could take Marquez out. Maidana would be easy for Marquez to hit hard and often so he could take Maidana out. I thought Marquez looked sharper tonight than he did in the Bradley fight. He can still fight his ass off but then so can Maidana. Maybe Maidana would finish stronger if the fight went 12 rounds and win a close decision.

you really cant count out marquez, lets all remember maidana got outboxed by morales and devon not too long ago.
yeah marcos beat floyd but maidana did not respect floyd in the least, marquez would make maidana respect him by throwing a combination right in his face

Maidana didn't beat Floyd, but he did give him hell for sure.

I think Marquez is still way past it. When Alvarado traded with Marquez, he did decent from time to time. I think a bigger, stronger Maidana with no respect for Marquez would trade more often, and win either a late TKO or UD. Marquez would have a lot of moments but I don't think he's fresh enough or quick enough anymore to make easy work of Maidana.

it honestly seems like in the last two fights for marquez is if you trade with him, he gets hurt and off balance.

Id go with maidana knocking him out late

But Maidana will respect marquez or else hes gonna get koed himself, i think marquez wins by decision but it would be close.
Marquez has never been rushed and stopped he thrives when fighting pressure fighters while maidana has been outboxed and outmaneuvered plenty of times the guy even struggled with soto karass
