Heavyweight hopeful Andy Ruiz remained unbeaten after easily turning away journeyman Manuel Quezada inside of two rounds Saturday evening at Selland Arena in Fresno, California.
The bout marked Ruiz' stateside appearance in nearly a year, having spent his last two fights overseas in Macau, China. The Mexican heavyweight enjoyed a triumphant return to the U.S., overwhelming Quezada early before battering him into submission.
A flurry of punches had Quezada in retreat in round two. The referee wisely recognized a one-way fight going nowhere fast, and jumped in to rescue the aged veteran.
The official time was 2:00 of round two. [Click Here To Read More]
