Comments Thread For: Froch Expects Groves To Crumble From Hectic Pace

IBF/WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch is better prepared, he says, for the May 31 rematch with domestic rival George Groves. Their anticipated fight takes place at Wembley before a crowd of 80,000 fans on May 31. Last November Froch got off the deck in the first round and had to rally down the stretch to get a controversial ninth round TKO victory.

I have a strange feeling this one is going to end early - either way.

Froch will be walking into even bigger bombs than last fight,
since Groves will have had a full camp with Paddy and increased strength
Froch will get stretched for the ten count, HBO here in the U.S. can't wait.

I saw the teaser for their face off that Sky will be showing soon, and I can't help but think that Froch's outward confidence/arrogance is just an attempt to hide the fact he is a little worried. Groves on the other hand is/seems genuinely sure of himself.

I could be way off the mark but its just the impressions I get off these guys in this build-up. Froch has got a bit of worry in his body language and his eyes if you ask me. Remember the push at the photoshoot after claiming to be calm and collected?...No doubt he will perform otherwise though, this will be a great, great fight and the next two weeks can't go quick enough...

"Chalk and cheese...?" Froch is always good for at least one obscure English colloquialism.

this is definately a pick em fight but, carl is saying the same as before and he knows only too well the saint DOES have twelve championship rounds in him.
i got money on the saint in every round by ko and carl only up to round 6 at odds for both fellahs between 28/1 and 33/1.
i see either carl going for an early ko on account of his legs not holding out for the full 12 or george coasting throught the first 8/9 to scoring a late ko.
                lets see.

Froch was totally off of his game last fight and Groves had the upper hand but almost got stopped later in the fight. I'm going with Froch.
