I never read on any boxing articles that Cotto asked Martinez to use 20 oz gloves or he can't use any punchers gloves. You do know that they have foundations that gets money to support or pay the hospital bills if they end up in the hospital right? That's why they pay the sanctioning bodies so that them sanctioning bodies will pay for hospitalization, not the whole bills but big chunck of money. Back in the day, there were run by Mafia, you don't wanna mess with them boys back in the day, so even the state commission have to go with the flow or they might get whack, but of course you do know that.

it depends on the promoter ,some fighters get hit with a hospital bill it has to be in their contract otherwise fighters would just go to the hospital just for the sake of it and most states you have to already have a clean bill of health before stepping into the ring.
Up and coming fighters have it hard ,some of you don't know this. It's like a Hip Hop artist who writes a lot of songs and does shows but at the end of day he barely makes any money.
