Comments Thread For: DeGale: I Can't Stand Groves, But Froch is Easier Fight

JAMES DeGALE is banking on a Wembley win double in the next fortnight - his beloved Arsenal lifting the FA Cup and him punching his way to a huge British world title showdown.

The Harlesden boxer is certain the Gunners will fulfil the first part by beating Hull on Saturday and he aims to clinch the second by defeating Brandon Gonzales on the undercard of the Carl Froch/George Groves super-middleweight megafight.

Victory in that IBF final eliminator will guarantee DeGale meeting the winner - and potential revenge over former victor Groves - and the "die-hard Gooner" just cannot wait.

Froch must be feeling a little humiliated, with all these young unproven upstarts dismissing him as if he is nothing.
Froch has beaten Bute, JT and kesslers of this world, yet nobody thinks Froch is anything to shout about.

But Degale needs to start fighting and beating some names before talking about Froch.

I agree man, and yeah you are right Degale needs to bring himself up there before he talks about these guys and gets taken seriously

Yeah.....he shouldn't talk about the biggest fight in British boxing history which he is on the undercard to. Sure.

mightn't degale be the next mandatory for the winner? in which event i'd say he is more than justified in talking about it.

i don't fancy his chances against either of them, though. his career seems to have stagnated since he lost to groves.

Everyone thinks Froch is an easy night before they get in the ring. Only Ward has been able to say the same post fight.

I'm interested to see how degale looks inhis next fight. Injuries aren't a problem anymore, no excuses about motivation given the stage and opponent. Do or die time.

If Degale vs Froch was announced people would not be interested...I get what your saying, but Degale needs to get himself up there before his claims of Froch being the 'easier fight'...

Hes right froch is an easier fight. Froch makes horrible mistakes in the ring. His footwork is poor, hes slow, he keeps his left hand low I can go on all day. Degales style is a problem for anyone.

Brandon Gonzalez is going to put an end to all the talk.

It's always easy on paper, James. Froch would annihilate him, especially with the way he always rolls about on the ropes.

Froch has done OK for someone who 'has no skills'.....
