I need to know why Abner Mares is scared to hop back in the ring with Gonzalez?

What is his reasoning for this?

And how does this fight warrant a rematch when Mares got sparked out in 30 seconds, but Khan-Garcia doesn't deserve a rematch when it was FAR more competitive while it lasted.

Let's hear you hipocrits scramble for answers........

He knows he would get KTFO again. Back to back KOs drop a boxer's stock to the very bottom.

Mares needs to get his ass back down to 122. The Cold War ****ed his career all up. The best fighters in that division are either with Top Rank or overseas. That's why he was in a hurry to move up to chase some big fights.

I guess Santa Cruz and Gary Russell are possibilities.

So Mares was a big time hype job then? Gonzalez is 8 losses beatable and he destroys Mares. Nice.

As a Mares fan, I do believe he's kinda shook.

I didn't address the second point. It doesn't make sense I would like to see Khan vs Garcia again.

People can claim that since this was the first time Mares was KOd it was all a fluke so they need to do it again as for Khan, we've seen him in trouble plenty of times. So the outcome is not really interesting anymore.

He got blasted hard, I'm sure he wasn't 100% confident in defeating the veteran in Gonzalez. He's still young and is trying to have a good, long, and relevant career... although I really REALLY wanted to see the rematch/

He got knocked the **** out in the first fight, generally speaking in boxing you don't go searching out the guy that destroyed you like that especially right away.

Nothing wrong with taking the slow road back and certainly nothing wrong with getting a fight or two under his belt before seeking a rematch.
