Chavez jr though? C'mon. Not only is he high risk, he is also unreliable, unmotivated and lost his luster?

Frankly in the end I think it will be Arum who is happy that Chavez refused the extension. I cannot fathom why anyone would want Chavez in a multi fight contract. He is bad karma for anyone wanting to run a ship smoothly.
All that is very true, and the last part especially after a long lay off which can mess up even a truly dedicated individual, so a guy lacking in that department like Jr. that is like playing Russian roulette but instead of taking all the bullets out but 1 you only take 1 bullet out.

Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for Chavez. I've honestly never seen such a terrible boxer make so much money with so little talent.

I honestly couldn't even believe he'd even entertain a Golovkin fight let alone come so close to accepting it. The biggest shame in this whole ordeal is even if Golovkin folded this guy like a lawn chair people in his country would still pay to see him fight bums.

Some of this may be true but thats not the point. The fighter duped the suit. This has been happening forever in boxing. When your contract is almost up, the promoter pulls the extension trick and they dangle the fight over your head and you cant get the fight without the extension.

Chavez was supposed to resign once Arum lowballed him without the extension. Same way Bradley and Ghost did. Chavez did what he wasnt supposed to do. He tricked the promoter, the suit.

This rarely happens in boxing. Now it may be for the better, it may be for the worse, he may be starting his own company who knows? But I dont care about any of that.

Its just the fact that he was SUPPOSED to resign like all the other fighters do when they face the Extension trick, and he shocked DF out of Arum. Arum looks like he was bamboozled. Im very impressed tbh.

Who knows, but look at how he's the only fighter that didnt fall for the extension maneuver. He was supposed to resign once they lowballed him. All fighters resign just like Bradley and Ghost. The fighter just duped the suit. Thats not impressive to you?

Anyone who says its not is shiesty and biased.

Yea with the extension. Which is what he didnt want; To resign. See to you he is supposed to resign. Like Ghost and Bradley, because the promoter offers you such a crappy deal without it. The fighter came and tricked the suit.

And btw, I dont think he will be rewarded for doing this. I think he's better off WITH Arum. Its just the fact that he didnt fall for the oldest promoter scam in the history of the game. The extension trick. He was SUPPOSED to resign, and now Arum looks lost and confused.

Chavez fights bums or GGG does? LOL Chavez fought Martinez and Andy Lee. Nonetheless props to Chavez for not being easily manipulated.

$17 million for two fights is a trap. $1.5 million to fight Mayweather is hitting the jackpot.

                    • you are so so wrong

tr pays way better than gbp. your maths are messed up too

7m to fight gg with 1 more fight before his contract goes was the offer to chavez, if he won against ggg, that 1 fight would have been 10m, if he lost 5m

chavez would never make more money with anyone else

look at chino, he made fcking 1.5m vs floyd, that is daylight robbery, richard and haymon are scumbags, they need to be jailed and hopefully will be after mainevents and golden boy sue their asses for their double handed deals, chavez has been tricked by haymon and co, he will suffer in the future
