Pacquiao is the only fighter to claim 8 divisions since so manny divisions where made. Yes fighter has claimed dramatically in the past but this is before PEDS where regularly available.

fighters in the 1920s and 1930s were regularly scaling vast weight classes throughout their career. the only reason why pacquiao got that multi weight distinction was because there werent junior divisions back then.

georges carpentier went from 112lbs to 175lbs and fought at heavyweight a couple of times.

he was born in 1894.

he isnt the only one. plenty of fighters have done what pac has done before the ped era.

And yet a flyweight who knocks out cold Ricky Hatton at junior welterweight is unsuspecting.... please? Marquez was a great featherweight winning 37 of his 48 featherweight fights by KO or TKO. But yet a man who began at flyweight fighting most of his fights at flyweight, Bantamweight, Featherweight and fighting once or twice at junior welterweight then KOing Hatton, then moving up again to fight Cotto at welterweight TKO.

If anything, Pacquiao fans should not argue about fighters moving up and looking su****ious because anyone can argue very easily about the questionable claim from a extremely small weight class to going through 8 different weight classes. But a man moving up 4 which is quite regular is now irregular
