I think that does matter simply because serious dopers who go way beyond the pale are less likely to suffer the reputational consequences they should. Instead they're just regarded as 'another one' to add to the list, because the sport doesn't really register the difference between someone using epo and designer steroids and the guy who takes a strong caffeine supplement.
In most sports it wouldn't matter so much, because there are standardised protocols for dealing with drug cheats and people get banned from competitions. In boxing, a guy can be exposed as a doper, or even fail a test, and be back competing in a year or so because there's nobody with the power to deal with them as they should be dealt with.
Damage to reputation is all you really have to punish people in this sport. For that reason I think it genuninely does matter that people can see the difference between the high end guys and the dumbasses who get caught for something minor.
Like Pac RIGHT and a law suite that comes along against the accuser. so who wins the guy making the money IN THE END

Can't say for sure it could just be a reaction to a hair removing cream he had used but you just never know. If he has used steroids then shame on him for doing so, but if he hasn't then good on him. Either way we won't find out regardless, lets not forget that a huge portion of the fighters in the HW division are using PED's and nobody bats n eyelid.
It's much more widely used than you guys think so I don't take much notice of it.

I never understood why Marqurz suddenly when turning 39 looked like a pro bodybuilder with twice the ko power, when he has been relatively flat all his carrere.
Dude was on something in the Pac fight, and now he is on it again

Marquez ain't no damn welterweight. He's a career featherweight the likes of Barrera and morales. PAC has gradually grown to welterweight. He couldn't make featherweight no more from late 20s to early 30s. Marquez has always been a featherweight all his career to late 30s. Now he moves up looking ripper and bigger. Thank you memo. Marquez has no business at welterweight if he wasn't juicing
