Lol, they didn't even have a tour for this show. Just a press conference with Mayweather and Maidans trainer.LMAO. Hardly any marketing at all. Most people thought Maidana was a no hoper. (Why, I have no clue...)

And I don't think people were predicting anymore then 800-1.2m. So I don't see why people are jumping up in down thinking this failed.... It hit right in the expected ballpark.

Mayweathers deal with Showtime provides so much free marketing for Showtime. People acting like Showtime is losing out on this deal don't know a ****ing thing about marketing and sponsorship. Mayweather is basically a Showtime sponsored boxer who has the chance to make them money on top of that. One of the biggest names in all of sports, sponsored, for free/upside. Exactly why they had a free weekend on the free replay.

Most of you are idiots and don't understand this.

Not sure it will have the desired effect doe. People mainly watch Floyd to see him lose, he's not the draw he makes himself out to be. Dunno I think the whole contract was a waste of money.

Normal people should have understood by now that the PPV business model is already obsolete for boxing... PPV will not generate big numbers anymore...
They will have to go back to the basics -- i.e. advertising and gate revenues...

The so called "gloves incident" was only the beginning of the "money guy" downfall.

                  Sucky numbers. Ouch!

Showtime losing money with those over blown stacked undercard.

pacquiao literally sold the Bradley PPV on his own without any recognisable chief support, Mayweather has had the luxury of Garcia, Matthysse, Khan and Broner over at show time, which is a great strategy, hand it to GBP for putting on good shows but with TR the yare literally just selling Pacquiao on his own and he still does almost a million. That's impressive. And he is arguably the biggest name in the sport.

Maidana was a massive underdog that nobody gave a chance. Bradley was #3 P4P and just beat Pacquiao's daddy. Comparing it to Rios is closer than Bradley. How many did that do again?

And to think they needed to sell 1.5m worth of ppv to break even. Dang! Disaster.

Floyd who is on the top of the sport pulling low numbers. Stocks are plunging alright.

Pac coming from a knock out fighting over seas then in Vegas and without a stocked undercard having to pull those numbers on his own while Floyd with some back up did this.

FLOYD TO FANS and SHOWTIME: HIGHWAY ROBBERY BABY!
