I'm talking more about the fights than the numbers.

Boxing fans want to see Rios, Pacquiao, Alvarado, Bradley, Abregu squaring off against Matthysse, Thurman, Maidana, Garcia, Khan, Porter etc but the latter are all Haymon fighters so it still ain't happening.

We're not really any better off (yet, at least).

Does anyone find anything wrong with what Bob Arum did here?

Basically Oscar spoke to him regarding a few things, and instead of keeping it personal, he goes back and shouts it to the media.

Now Richard will hear this and this will create more friction between Richard and Oscar, so if anything Arum's plan should be clear, he's looking to breakdown Goldenboy internally.

Essentially, unless they can cut ties with Haymon, the situation remains the same.
Neither Haymon nor Mayweather have promoter's licenses which is why they rely on their butt boy Schaefer to handle the promoter's duties and sign on the dotted lines. If they lose their GBP pipeline and Main Event's claims are proven true, that could be the end of the Darth Haymon Empire in Boxing.

Oscar seems determined to wrest control back of his company, and being the majority stock holder and namesake he can and probably will.

Should be interesting to see how things play out in the near future.

Good. Oscar needs to fire Chafer and Gaymon. If Bob needs to make public comments to get things heading it that direction, so be it.

That's what I meant. Haymon is going to need GBP or Top Rank eventually. His fighters are going to demand big fights against Canelo and Pacquiao. If he can't deliver they will sign with someone else.

Everybody can't get the Mayweather fight.

Wouldn't that depend upon how long he has signed them for and under what terms?

Oscar seems to be playing extra nice about Haymon in the media (maybe because he still needs him?) but beneath it he has to be furious with him and Schaefer.

Bob Arum is about as indirect as Donald Sterling. Go to guy if you need an unveiled swipe.

I wouldn't mind if I never saw Rios or Alvarado again. They are not elite fighters.
