After his series of sucks performances plus his undesirable work ethics outside the ring
& during training, his fan base & popularity was rapidly depleting. This is the time he needs Bob & his machineries the most to bring those backComment

If the offer for the first fight on the two-for was $6.6m, $4m-$5m, to me would've been a more than fair offer for Top Rank to put forward, getting Chavez Jr's last fight out of the way and giving the company a chance to sit and negotiate a longterm deal with Chavez Jr.
The guy's not a doof; he knows that he draws well on TV, in US and Mexico. He wants a fairer chunk of the pie, or at least the opportunity to look and see what the best offer there is for him to get.Comment

Damn chavez passed on nearly 7 mill. Wow maybe Haymon can get him fights with bika, and Jermaine Taylor for 8 mil each. That's prolly the hold up guysComment

Yet, GBP are the ones with the "internal feud". And they do more in house fights than Top Rank lol
All promoters are snakes.Comment

Are you idiots serious? I have NEVER been a fan of Chavez but man you guys dont even know the business. He is the ONLY fighter as of late, to not fall for the extension trick. You guys dont realize how he just dooped Arum and Im personally SHOCKED he out of all people DIDNT fall for it.
Ghost and Bradley BOTH fell for it, and wasnt smart enough to know the business side of it. These promoters wait until you get a big fight, they dangle it in front of you, and make you sign the extension or else they wont give you that fight.
6 million for GGG with the extension is WAAAY different from 1 fking million without the extension. They lowballed Chavez because their bitter and made up an excuse about how they would lose money if they built him up then let him leave the company.
He's already built up and the fight itself would have made everyone rich.
Golden boy tricked Ghost that way. Floyd needed Ghost so Ghost didnt have to sign an extension to get a Floyd fight. He signed the contract to get the Floyd fight but who else was Floyd going to fight? Thats Ghost's fault for not realizing it. Bradley did the same thing. Pac needed Bradley more than Bradley needed him. Who is Pac going to fight? Mike Alvarado, Rios, and JMM 6 & 7? Pac is so dry on opponents, that Bradley could have even demanded a high guarantee and STILL not have signed the extension. They would have had no choice but to do what Bradley wanted but Bradley is a moron. He could have fought Pac, then went to GB and fought all the real fighters in the division. Now he will fight bums at TR like Rios and Alvarado trilogies.
I have NEVER been a Chavez supporter but man look at how this kid just shocked Arum. I have a LOAD of respect for this kid. He just tricked the biggest crook in boxing and you guys dont even realize what type of move he just pulled. Arum NEVER saw this coming.
He so bitter he trying to give Chavez FIVE MILLION LESS for fighting GGG WITHOUT the extension. The fight itself was going to make so much money for Arum and Chavez. All the talk about building Chavez up was just a BS excuse because the kid was going to actually lose the fight and his stock was going to plummet. Props to Chavez for both WANTING the fight, knowing his worth, and crapping on Arum's parade. And btw, Chavez is a MUCH more bigger name than GGG. GGG hasnt even fought have the competition Chavez has fought.Comment

Those paid off judges can work both ways. I recall Manny was going to be a free agent when suddenly he loses to Bradley. Coincidence?Comment
