There are some more deserving fighters than Thurman right now but He does have some things working for him. I think the fight could be very intriguing in a year or so especially if Floyd slows down some more. He needs a big win before thinking of a Mayweather fight.

Absolutely white washed a guy that had Berto in trouble, and if it wasn't for the cut, would've stopped Berto, IMO.

Stops a guy that was previously 22-0, and anyone with eyes could see that Chaves is a serious threat at WW.

Demolishes a guy that stopped Berto.

Obliterates a guy that got a draw with Porter.

I don't know what some of you guys are thinking, but I think he's done a lot more than most WW's other than Pac, Bradley, or Porter.

And let's not pretend like he'd have trouble with Paulie or Alexander, please. Seriously.

I'd like to see it as well, I even hope Brook pulls out of his inevitable beating so Thurman can further prove himself with Porter. It's more of, someone has to give Thurman the opportunity.

i don't think he has a chin or is that good, but he does have some things that may appear to be good, but lket's see at world level.

i am certainly feeling he is avoided.

however i think he will lose to someone at the top, but floyd should fight him before he gets too slow etc...

Thurman is very good but not good enough to beat Mayweather yet in my opinion. Mayweather by clear but not lopsided ud.

Mayweather hands down, Thurman's rhythm will definitely be picked on in the midst of round 1 and the rest will be like any other matches.. Thurman does not hold the combination of being that fast and agile tenacity to keep going forward after taking money's counter..
What history also told us is that conventional punchers usually fall short to connect, unless you are willing to open up and throw over overhands which happens to be what fighters can take away from the may-maidana fight..
