...... was an anticipated fight as PLAN B in case Manny fight didn't happen but Floyd's side ducked that one ..... I called it a duck and after seeing Floyd accepting guys like Guerrero and another Argentinian, kinda makes you say, "Why did Floyd refuse again?"

Mosley in his prime avoided May, a no name high risk fight. May was still the "Pretty boy Flyod" then not "money May".

Cotto was not yet ready for May who was already in his prime. Even their promoter don't want it.

Pac? He avoided the fight because of blood testing without cut-off. Perhaps afraid to be caught and be forever branded a roider.

ODLH was already past his prime when May was in his prime. When they fought, DLH was still good but already past his prime.

Joel Casamayor

Back in 2001, he was one of the reasons behind the surge in populatiry of the super featherweight and lightweight divisions. He was then undefeated and had an awkward style that most opponents had a tough time with. Floyd Mayweather shared the same time with Casamayor in those weight divisions but they never met.

Acelino Freitas
Acelino Freitas was also one of those undefeated super featherweights at the turn of the millenium. Unlike Casamayor, Freitas was an extremenly exciting fighter. Freitas also did not get to fight Mayweather. Instead he locked horns with Casamayor and scored a decision win against him.

Kostya Tszyu

The Thunder from Down Under Kostya Tszyu was a blood and guts warrior who was a unified light welterweight champion in 2004. By 2005, Mayweather also stepped into that division but Tszyu lost via knockout to an up-and-coming Ricky Hatton. He called it quits after that.

Winky Wright

Mayweather, then with Bob Arum's Top Rank Promotions, was already ironing out details for a fight against the dangerous Winky Wright back in 2005. Both camps already agreed to most details of the fight including rules about the weigh in to limit the advantage of the naturally bigger Wright. However, Mayweather pulled out late and instead fought Sharmba Mitchell.

Antonio Margarito

In 2006, Mayweather got a big offer to fight WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margarito. He declined and instead chose to fight Zab Judah who was coming off a loss to Carlos Baldomir.

Paul Williams
For a time, Paul Williams was regarded as boxing's most ducked fighter. He was tall and lanky and a match-up nightmare for anyone in the welterweight division. He ended up getting put to sleep by Sergio Martinez but Williams could have given Mayweather a tough fight specially at 147 pounds.

Miguel Cotto

Miguel Cotto was an option for Mayweather in 2007 to 2008. But after beating Ricky Hatton, Mayweather decided it was better for him to retire from boxing. It robbed the fans of the best welterweight showdown at that point. Mayweather did fight Cotto at 154 years later but the Puerto Rican was already carrying the wear and tear from matches against Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito, and the last person on the list.

Manny Pacquiao

A match between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather is already years late. However, even at this point in time, it will still generate a lot of money for both fighters. Mayweather refuses to take a fight with Pacquiao as long as he is under Bob Arum's Top Rank Promotions.

Winky was way too frkin big. This is actually the first time I have ever heard ANYONE say Floyd should have fought him. Would have been cool if it happen, but a bad mistake on Floyd's part.

Floyd spent his entire career chasing money fights with Gatti and Oscar. He went directly to Gatti and Oscar, and haters accused him of ducking 10-20 fighters in between.
His whole career he said he would retire at 30 and by the time he was 30 he retire. As you can recall, he said he didnt even love boxing any more and he fought like it.

The Floyd who fought Oscar is one of the WORST versions of Floyd out there and its funny how people use that version of Floyd in every fantasy fight. I bet the Floyd who fought Canelo would pummel Oscar and the Floyd who fought JMM would humiliate him.

He retired at 30 when he said he would and YOU all accused him of ducking everyone. After he fought Oscar he said he accomplished everything he set out to accomplish. Thats what he set out to accomplish, getting a fight with Oscar.

Hatton was a big money fight, and as you can recall Hatton had better footwork than Floyd. Hatton and Oscar fought a washed up Floyd. They didnt fight 2013 Floyd or 2009 Floyd.

If you wanna say he ducked Pacman, that is a fact. I agree, he did duck him.

But Im not going out of my way to hate on this fighter, or that fighter and pretend he ducked 30 fighters just because he chased two money fights, then retired when he said he would.

Its crazy how yall lie on this man. When Ortiz beat Berto Lampley said, "No one at ww will fight him" After Floyd chose him to fight, Lampley spent the whole promotion saying, "He chose Ortiz because he's young and doesnt throw jabs."

Fighting guys 15lbs heavier, 8 yrs younger, 10 yrs young, 15yrs younger. Ranked number 1, 2, or 3. Floyd been doing real good lately Im impressed.

you can debate about some of those names all you want and they have and will be debated all the time but 3 of them dont belong at all. He called out Freitas alot. Floyd wanted that fight but PoPo didnt. Everyone knows that.

The Tszyu fight was a very real possibility. The problem is they were 2 different weight classes and by time they were at the same, one was with Showtime and one was with HBO. However, Tszyu only had one fight left on his Showtime contract but then lost to Hatton. It was very real talk of him fighting Floyd if he won that fight.

The Winky fight was a joke that people love to hang on to. Floyd had just beat Gatti at 140 and was only 143 pounds in the ring on fight night. Meanwhile Winky just dominated Tito at MW and had good size. Floyd was the bigger name, undefeated, and was giving up a ton of size, but yet Winky still wanted 50/50. Only haterz act like that is ok. Winky talking crazy about he's the one taking all the risk. Seriously? Why would Floyd fight him in that situation for 50/50. Winky wanted 50/50 or no fight. Why would Floyd do that?

Juan Manuel Marquez spent the majority of his career at 126. After a brief stint at 130, he went to 135, for two whole fights!! Not one fight at lightweight, but a grand total of two!! Floyd, by the time he had fought Marquez, had been at welterweight for a number of years and fights. He also fought as high as 154. lol @ Floyd being the bigger name than Winky. They were equals at that time. I guess its ok to you for Floyd to fight a guy from basically three divisions lower, than it is for him to move up a couple.
