The Championships Committee of the World Boxing Association has decided to call a purse bid for the mandatory fight between Panamanian Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (35-2-1, 12KOs), who is the WBA's "super" 118-pound champion, and undefeated challenger Juan Carlos Payano (15-0, 8KOs). The purse bid will take place on May 23 at 11:00 am at the offices of the World Boxing Association, located in Marbella, Panama. The purse bid will be conducted by the vice chairman, Aurelio Fiengo.
