Oscar claimed on Tysontalk that he's down to 156. Now he's fighting at 154 in over two months and it was believed that as of the beginning of the year that he appeared to weight 200 pounds, perhaps up to 10 or so pounds under that. My question, when did he lose 30-40 pounds? Is this a good thing when you consider the fight is still so far away? What does this tell us? Should you believe him? I don't know. I was stunned. I thought by now he'd want to weight about 168-170 for the May 6 fight

He is looking like his old self.Originally posted by scapThe fact that Oscar is training can only be a good thing-look at his face at the press conference yesterday-he has lost a ton of weight.
I cant wait to see Oscar in the spotlight again. I believe that he knows he can whip on Mayorga, and im sure he'll do it.

He has a lot more weight to lose if he is gonna get back to that hunk of a mexican that I grew up dreaming about...
Lets see if he is 156 now he has roughly 25 more pounds to go before I tell my wife to move on because I'm moving to LA.
Seriously...My man needs to fight 3 times in 1 year the final bout being against Winky and the first 2 being against Mayorga and some fringe contender (which is not going to happen).
Oscar can beat Winky if and only if he becomes a full time fighter for a year...he cant continue to fight elite fighters when he is as inactive as he is.
I wish Oscar would just go out with a **** in 2006 with 3 fights and then call it quits.Comment

Oscar doesnt have the fire power to take out Ricardo, he will be quite content to simply outclass him.Comment

Oscar can't handle a lefty like Wright. He hasn't fought a left-hander since '97.Originally posted by scapHe has a lot more weight to lose if he is gonna get back to that hunk of a mexican that I grew up dreaming about...

Maybe not but if he wants a shot at handling that left he needs to get active, if he fights Mayorga then takes another year and half off then goes after a elite guy like Winky he is just kidding himself.Comment
