If so, that's good. Pulev earned this fight some time ago. I expect it be competitive, unlike some of Wlad's recent outings. Pulev is big and strong enough with the skill set to present Wlad with some problems, and he is the most relaxed heavyweight you'll see in the ring.

So Wilder vs Stiverne and Klitschko vs Pulve and winners face each other, for ultimate supremacy, sounds good to me. Then I would say it would be Wilder vs Klitschko, which in my mind is the most intriguing fight and I would still pick Klitschko over Wilder since Wilder lacks defense, footwork, experience. Only thing he has going for him are is crazy, almost scary power, and hand speed, thats about it.Comment

It's true, though. I don't feel like looking it up, but around the times of Wach/pieanta fights, there was a good 5-6 "top HWs" who turned Wlad down.
Why? I don't know. Obviously they felt they would of gotten seriously hurt or they just weren't readyComment

I think it would be the latter. In all honesty it would be foolish to go into a fight when you know your not ready and prepared. A lot of people would look at that and say you're missing out on a great payday/opportunity, but in all seriousness you're just a smart fighter who understands you're not mature enough of a fighter to fight that level of opposition.Comment

If he's got so much power, why couldn't he knock out comparatively little Charlie Zelenoff? So Wilder vs Stiverne and Klitschko vs Pulve and winners face each other, for ultimate supremacy, sounds good to me. He hit CZ harder and more times than he hit Malik Scott. But Charlie kept getting back up and fighting and even landed a couple of punches, unlike Scott.Last edited by Ulver; 05-14-2014, 05:02 PM.Comment

You'd better hold the celebration re Wilder beating Stiverne.
Stiverne is leagues above anyone Wilder has fought -- Harold Sconiers had Wilder crawling around on the canvas, so what is a clean shot from Stiverne going to do to him?Comment

Do what your talking about with the Charlie Zelenoff. Wilder is 31 - 0, all by KO. I couldn't find a professional bout where Wilder fought this Zelenoff character, unless your talking about in the amatures. If that's the case, then your argument is irrelevant cuz the amatures are way different in many ways from pro bouts, and it's safe to say he's developed more since his Olympic days, that includes power and technique, even if Wilder is nowhere near technically sound, you get the point.Comment

Wilder vs Stiverne would be an awesome matchup. If they put this one up on ESPN then no doubt they can get the heavyweight division the much needed added exposure. If Arreola vs Stiverne did well on ESPN, I can only imagine how well Wilder vs Stiverne will bring in.Comment
