Well he's apparently Floyd's mandatory for the WBA title now.

Here's a video of Floyd's team tryna convince him to not take the fight:

If Floyd vacates, Thurman should get a shot at the vacant title.

I like Thurman exactly how he is, he's as good a boxer-puncher as any out there. His footwork, jab, ring IQ and boxing ability in general is very underrated. He's a complete fighter, I don't think anyone other than Pac and Floyd can beat him at 147.

        He's the future of boxing.
Lol. I just love the brute aspect of the sport. There's nothing that gets me as hyped as watching two fighters wildly exchanging while taking flush shots from one another. That to me is human's fighting spirit at its finest.

I am on the fence. Every time he says "KOs for life" and the fact that despite his movement he has that urge to finish the fight by KO make it hard for me to turn away. ONE TIME!! That's all it takez!!

I would love to see him team up with Robert Garcia. I believe he would get the most of Thurman and would turn him into the offensive beast he is destined to be.

Thurman is an excellent fighter but if you are trying to say Maidana is afraid of Thurman you are full of it. Maidana is not afraid to fight anybody.

Why's his nickname "One Time"? Because he only has to hit you one time to knock you out?

when i first saw thurman i was wildly unimpressed but to his credit he has improved a lot since then. he still has a long way to go to be a complete fighter but he is moving in the right direction. he isnt just a brute force caveman type fighter any more, he can move and box a bit. still needs to tighten up his defense and become more intelligent and technical in order for me to be a fan of his, but he is getting better each fight so it could very well happen.

in fact i think im becoming a fan of his now that im thinking about it, im really looking forward to his next fight. hopefully it will be a step up, he may not be ready for the mayweathers and pacquiaos of the world but the porters, alexanders, malignaggis and maidanas need to look out. would love to see him fight any one of them next.

I don't think Maidana is afraid of Thurman, but he did pull out of the fight for no reason. His team said something about Thurman being too big...yet they went on to fight Soto Karass who's bigger than Thurman.
