Chisora made $300k for fighting Vitali - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/box...Klitschko.html

Chisora said multiple times that "after I beat Vitali, I will beat him again and then his brother" - Frank Warren confirmed the contract as well.

And of course, David Haye has told us all how they wanted him to do this that and the other - But I suppose you think he was lying.
What did Chisora and Charr bring to the table? Not much that is what. Chisora was a 17 fight domestic level fighter that lost two of his previous three. So, $300,000 sounds pretty good considering he had accomplished nothing to that point, and still hasn't. My question is why was Vitali fighting him to begin with?

And considering what Charr has accomplished and where he was ranked at the time he should have been grateful for a purse of almost a half million dollars. I am sure it is a hell a lot more then he gets for being someones sparing partner.

A promoter will also always protect their investment. How many fights do figure Stiverne owes Don King? How many did Haye owe him? You also did not bother to mention that Vitali offered Valuev $4 million to fight him. And unlike Chisora and Charr who brought nothing to the table and shouldn't have even been fighting for a belt, at least the Beast brought something to the table. Like the WBA belt with a couple successful defenses.

I believe that Wlad has earned the right to dictate what goes on. I also find it somewhat refreshing that the Klit bros were able to cut out the middle man and make more for themselves. After all it is their blood they are spilling. But in reality its really a moot point simply because no one has been able to beat Wlad. As far Haye is concerned you are right I don't believe him.

One thing about Fury. When he speaks he always reminds me that Britain also has its share of white trash!

If he was too boring, he wouldn't be packing up the places where he fights on a consistent level.

The guy who wouldn't engage with Wlad, and just wanted to survive and lose every round says Wlad is boring...

Wlad's fights are not enjoyable for me. The last few fights that have been televised have been absolutely horrible. He gets crap ratings whether its HBO, espn or epix.

The funny thing about David Haye is that he fought like a coward against Wlad and was happy to just survive and lose every round...and he says Floyd "boxes beautifully" but Wlad is boring, although Wlad knocks guys the fck out..while Floyd is happy shoulder rolling and pot-shotting to UDs.

It's all subjective...these news stories where sports athletes are interviewed are actually what's boring...

                      Well, that's my point exactly.

Who brings anything to the negotiating table other than Haye? No one. At least no one, maybe aside from Chisora/Fury now with the backing of BoxNation.

Other than that, no one are fighting on huge shows anywhere - which means they bring nothing to the table.

So if you are a, say, Tyson Fury who's looking at a mandatory soon, why would you go to fight Wlad for $300k + 2-3 options, when he can go the mandatory route and get a lot more with no options?

If Wlad was willing to pay $1.5 to get Fury over with, say, 1 option - then Fury would have probably taken the fight. But he won't, so it doesn't make financial sense for Fury.

Haye didn't work with Don King? He owed Sauerland 2 fights after Valuev as co-promoters.

I'm all for fighters cutting out the middleman, but it should work to the advantage of boxing, not to hold the fighters hostage. Imagine if Klitschko did get beaten, then said fighter would be contractually bound to fight him the next 2-3 times he fights. That's ridiculous.

1 rematch - absolutely fine. 2 is really pushing it, and 3 is just embarrassing.

And that's why you get Wlad fighting guys like Wach and Pianeta - because everyone else have the talent and the common sense to fight other guys for just as much money + having a shot at a mandatory and then hit the jackpot.

Once again, not blaming Wlad (that much), because he would lose money by fighting top guys most likely, otherwise he would have. The german fans are there in full force either way, and seeing he's on a contract with RTL he makes the same whether he fights Fury or Leapai.
