The Ring Size From Arreola-Stiverne 2...

...should be mandated by ALL state commissions as the ONLY ring size used in all fights

i watched that fight last night and then the Floyd-Chino replay and thought 'there probably would be more exciting fights if they put them all in a phone booth'

Agreed. Would make boxers box rather then run.

There probably should be a standard ring size at least for championship fights, or eliminators. I would say heavies make most rings look small though, while the small guys always seem to have room. As to if that is the correct size, i think it is debatable, but I could see how your point would be better for the sport as it would force more action and if a guy could still box avoiding the other guy in the smaller rings they would deserve even more praise.

Just imagine if the Lakers could have had an extra wide court to open up the floor for Kobe. What other sport can you change the playing field like that~

that 17 foot ring was indeed perfect...if a fighter is gonna clinch anyway, at least he doesn't have the option to run 5 secs before getting caught

that smaller ring would force the action...i wish all fights were in that small ring

I've been saying it all along. True boxing is not pity pat running. I understand taking a step back or side to side but damn, some of these guys just like running marathons.

It would screw over certain guys, but it is not like they didn't screw over 15 round guys so not like it would be without precedence.

They would have to adapt or die out.

eliminating runners from the sport is a good thing...either learn how to be slick or learn to ****...the ring should provide no place to hide

imagine how crazy Khan-Maidana 1 would have been if it were in a 17ft ring
