Dude if his only measuring stick is p4p #2 one division up, you've totally bought into the hype. Ward doesn't have a win near that good, he fought a p4p #10 who came down a full division.

GGG is not even The Man in his own division. Geale would be his best scalp, on paper. He's been chasing all these MWs for a couple of years at least, and with HBO's backing he's not all risk/no reward anymore

Anyway, Geale vs Macklin >>> Golovkin vs Geale

I was really looking forward to Geale vs Macklin. I thought it would be a fun competitive scrap.

Also, what happened with Quillin? Did HBO refused to work with GB or did Quillin refuse an offer?

Can't pay Peter enough to get in the ring with Gennady.

The only argument against it, is the fight against GGG and Geale big enough to pay Perez "step aside" money? Shaw and Dibella have a good working relationship.

I personally think Perez did get injured, and then Shaw decided to scrap the fight against Macklin once he got wind GGG needed a dance partner

If they move Perez/Jennings to the Golovkin undercard slot, it would be blatant. Doubt it though.

Obviously difficult to prove, but it's hard not to be a little su****ious. I can get that HBO are on damage control right now having lost a second marquee fight in about 6 months but it sucks that solid guys like Macklin get screwed in the fallout.

I'm a paranoid su****ious f#kker by nature, but Quillin's a Haymon fighter isn't he? The same Haymon who's beeen linked to two HBO PPVs falling through already this year?

Perhaps it's just me but I can see HBO being just a little sceptical about Quillin actually turning up for the date and not having a last minutre injury which would nix another date for one of their showcase fighters.

                Shame tho.

Shame about Geale vs Macklin too. Woulda been a hard fought and exciting bout. That said I thnk GGG vs Geale should be a real good fight too - I'm guessing at a GGG late rounds TKO but it'd still be Golovkins best opponent to date.

The fight you are referring to occurred on Showtime. I realize you are not a Ward fan because he doesn't produce what casuals consider "exciting", but have you had a problem with Ward's tactics in any fight other than the Kessler fight?

what fight was i referring to? i was referring to his career. he holds nonstop in every fight. why do you think he only fights at home? same reason wlad does. cheating just makes winning so much easier. its a shame every fighter can't cheat.
