Is Pacquiao still a PPV fighter?

First of all I am a Pacman fan, loved all his fights up until the Margarito fight he was IMHO the true fighter of the decade and a joy to watch

But this version of Pacman is a lot less spectacular, age has creeped up and his power has diminished. Add to that that Top Rank simply has no match ups for him that would enthuse fans anymore. Marquez at 41 V? Bradley 3? Is anyone really waiting for that? Provodnikov who is a nobody will also not do more than 500k views.

Has anyone seen the Bradley numbers? I doubt they are over 600k.

So the question is why would any non die hard fan buy an 80 dollar fight, of an aged fighter with opposition that doesn't excite anyone on a card filled with bums and nobody's?

Hence my question is Pacman still a PPV fighter or can he only remain a PPV fighter if he moves to Golden Boy?

PS this is a thread about Pacman not about Mayweather so any comments including him positive or negative are irrelevant

Of course. I think the reports said the Pac-Bradley fight did 750,000-800,000. That's good. Who else can do those numbers besides Floyd?

He can still do a million buys with jmm and a fight with Floyd would still be the biggest fight of all time (PPV wise).

Obviously he is. Sure his numbers dipped since getting KTFO but he's still selling good numbers for anyone else not named Floyd. If Martinez-Cotto does 600k ppv's that would be considered a big success. So put it in perspective.

Yes he is. But it has to do with the opponent also.

If Top Rank still makes money on his PPVs then yes.

He did just sell 700k-800k PPVs against Tim freaking Bradley. So yeah, I'd say he's still a PPV fighter.

800,000 PPV buys is better than anyone bar Floyd, don't know how this is a real question?

I think only Floyd, Manny and Haye in the UK have reached close to a million PPVs in the last few years in boxing.

pacquiao literally sold the Bradley PPV on his own without any recognisable chief support, Mayweather has had the luxury of Garcia, Matthysse, Khan and Broner over at show time, which is a great strategy, hand it to GBP for putting on good shows but with TR the yare literally just selling Pacquiao on his own and he still does almost a million. That's impressive. And he is arguably the biggest name in the sport.

Imagine if TR put Chavez Jr, Provodnikov and Rios on the undercard. Or Ward, Kovalev. That would sell over a million easy considering for the Pacman is doing on his own.
