It's interesting that the gloves that were considered illegal by the commission were the gloves that Maidana himself selected to use. Had Floyd not been attentive to Maidanas gloves then Maidana would have been fighting dirty with gloves with no padding. I find that to be kind of funny style, especially after seeing them employ their strategy against Floyd.

They werent illegal, Richard scheffer even said himself that the comission just say no to those particalur gloves to pacify team mayweather and approved the exact same pair in a different color. Mayweather whole plan was to get Maidana into sparring gloves to save his life.

Why didn't they mention the red MX gloves that the commission approved for Chino to wear, but Mayweather would not fight if he used the commission approved red gloves.

I already see some post in this thread of people thinking that the gloves that chino wanted to wear was the blue ones. Friday night Chino and the garcia team said they would not wear the blue ones that they show in the video, but they want to wear the red MX gloves that the commission approved.

I agree about the red gloves but the point is that Maidana didn't want to wear the red gloves initially, his choice were the ones with no padding. He would have gladly walked into the ring with the blue gloves that the commission deemed illegal.
