Don't have a round by round exactly but I know I had it 4-2 Maidana, but then Maidana slowed up and I had Floyd winning 5 of the last 6 to edge it slightly...

IRCC I had Floyd winning 2,3, 7,8,9,10,12. I could be wrong about my selection of rounds, but I know for a fact I had it 4-2 Maidana but then Floyd won 5 out of 6 and squeaked out a close decision...

I thought the Castillo fight was much closer, and this one on par with the oscar and cotto fights...
People seem to get blinded by maidana's great start and don't realize that he really wasn't effective at all after 6 rounds..

Yeah your correct, Floyd struggled with an opponent, but that doesn't mean he lost. Just that he struggled. Maidana gave him a good fight, and instead if the usual 118-110 type fights, we got a really competitive 115-113 type fight...
      Should I?

You clearly have a bias for Floyd. I have always appreciated the boxer over the puncher but in this case Maidana did enough for many including myself.

115-113 is reaching? Why? Switch their roles, make Madonna the A and floyd the B and guarantee you it would not be close. Which is my main point.

If you don't know me, then don't proclaim me a Floyd worshipper...

115-113 is reaching IMO, you would literally have to give him every close round to come to that score,, at best Maidana got a draw.. Floyd clearly controlled the fight after 6 rounds, and Floyd clearly won an early round or 2..
If Maidana could keep up the pace like he did early with the 100 punches around, I think he beats Floyd, but he couldn't keep the pace. Castillo was able to keep the pace and actually get stronger later in the fight.. Maidana gave it his best chance early but tired and slowed after 6

You're still crying about this a week later? He lost. Deal with it.

See this is the mentality we have adopted and it's become popular opinion. I understand how someone can give floyd an early round and I respect that.

But its safe to say Maidana won the first 5 rounds, albeit close. Just as much as it's safe to think Maidana won two rds after 6th. Making it 115-113 for chino. It's not reaching.

Floyd didn't land and work enough imo to win any of the early rounds. You say maidana wasn't effective, but floyd wasn't either. Again, what did floyd actually land besides an occasional pull counter and 1 uppercut? I can't even say floyd landed more clean punches than maidana. And maidana landed far more grazing and body shots.

For me Floyd just didn't throw enough or land enough to win this fight. Defense and elusiveness is great to have, and floyd showed a good defense, but its the punches that win you a fight, and floyd didn't punch enough.

Floyd outlanded him, i don't see how you can make the case that Floyd wasn't landing... Something slowed up Maidana and most likely it was the subtle body shots and jabs to the body that Floyd used early...
