Another lame excuse by Arum.
Broner vs. Manny, outside of Floyd, would be his biggest PPV fight and no one can possibly argue that. You would have the most liked boxer in the world versus arguably the most hated boxer in the world right now.
Simply put, he doesn't wanna do business with Golden Boy/Haymon/Mayweather and that's the reason the fight will never happen.Comment

It would be a lame fight. Do I want to see someone hand a a$$ whooping to Broner? Hell yes. It doesn't have to be Pac though. Lots of people are capable of doing it. Garcia, Rios, Alvarado, Bradley, Matthysse, Khan, and Provodnikov, just to name a few. Broner is just a bum with a big mouth. As much as I would like to see him get pounded again, I would rather see more completive fights be made.Last edited by Yogi007; 05-11-2014, 02:23 PM.Comment

Are people seriously saying rios/alvarado which both at 140 would destroy Broner. Ain't a fan of either rios or mile high mike but let's be real..if he had trouble with Maidana due to his size, those guys are just as big and i'll say alvarado has faster hands than Maidana. If a fight between Broner and Rios or alvarado gets made i'll put up ten to one odds that Broner loses to either man.Comment

Marcos Maidana > Rustico Torrecampo.
Broner wasn't ''exposed'' vs Maidana, he finished the fight on his feet with a broken jaw and prior to the second knock down he was putting rounds in the bank.
Broner vs Pacquiao is more intriguing than all the recycled opponents Arum can throw at Manny right now, Marquez will not do a 5th fight (thank god), Alvarado and Rios are nobodies, Provodnikov says he won't fight him, and a 3rd Bradley fight would sell worst on PPV than the second one, Pacquiao is out of fresh opponents that will spark the public's interest, Broner would definitely help Pacquiao make his biggest PPV sales ever, one thing he knows how to do is sell a fight and he already started by calling him out.
Pacquiao's future looks poor if he remains at Top Rank. Floyd is being asked to take out all the young lions (Maidana, Thurman, Porter, Garcia, Khan, Golovkin, ..) while people are content with Manny and his worthless rematches marathons, I'm starting to think Manny stays with Arum to avoid the burden of having to take on this young batch of boxers on the scene, it's safer at Top Rank for Poochiao.Comment

Not getting the correlation. And I know who Rustico is. ???Comment

broner should prove his worth against maidana first...because a flat-footed brandon rios can easily knock him out in any given round...Comment

I agree that it wouldn't be competitive but I'd rather see that than Pacquiao beat Rios in a completely uncompetitive fight. Stop blaming Pacquiaos mediocre PPV numbers on the absence of a Hispanic fighter and give the fans better undercards that include noteworthy namesComment
