Ugh....keep this grab ass fool away from the most important boxing belt in the world. Nobody in America wants to watch this damn python.Comment

Wilder is talented, but he's not ready to be champion. No way, no how. I hate that he's ranked so high; he needs many more fights to develop.
There should be only one heavyweight champion; I'd rather see Wlad grab the belt as quickly as possible and let everyone get in a SINGLE FILE line to challenge for the title.Forget about Wlad fighting the winner.
Just hand him the belt now and let the winner fight him. I would hate for that green belt to float around like it has done the last ten years.
Everything needs to be unified, so all these guys can get in one line and EARN their shot at the champ.Yes, we hardcores do know who the real champs are in every division, but sadly it is the casuals that are the economic engine of the sport. The difference it'll make is that once we have an undisputed champ everyone will be forced to take notice in all corners of the world. Wlad-Haye drew 500 million viewers, so imagine once we do have a single champ?
Once the belts are unified they will be passed on as "one" most likely. Plus there isn't a 100% guarantee Wlad wins.I'm for it! One champion! Even if it is for one day before the bodies start stripping wlad for not defending against top opponents. At least then we have one legit champ. Although i don't consider the WBO belt a world title but if he added the WBC that would be nice. Wlad would have no more easy voluntaries without getting stripped. He would have to fight all the best who are left. He could erase some of the criticism he gets outside his fanbase. No excuses for fights against the pianetas & mormecks anymore...I'm still trying to figure out who the hell doesn't already consider Wlad THEE heavyweight champion. And what the hell having or not having some belt didn't want any more does to change that.Comment

A vacant belt is not the most important. It only makes sense to push for unification. We don't need multiple champs. Besides, the holder of that belt is not the true champ anyway. Like it or not, Wlad is THE hw champ until someone beats him. Wilder is not necessarily entitled to a shot. He has zero substantial wins. Let him duke it out with pulev for a shot. A win over Charlie zelenoff doesn't catupult wilder to the #1 challenger position.Comment

As soon as I read this I knew this thread would be full of pissed off Klitschko haters! I love it!Comment

Yessssssssssss. this is what should happen. Wlad should be allowed to get the WBC title first and THEN fight Pulev.
Let's be honest, whoever wins that WBC strap will run away from Wlad and hold that title hostage.
Allowing Wlad to unify first is the ONLY option where everybody wins.
Sounds like the WBC is on board. Fantastic news for boxing fans worldwide

The funny part is there all fanboy's of one certain group of fighter's...I'm surprised we haven't seen a "If wlad gets a shot before wilder wbc is racist" why can't they have some faith in there man instead of trying to make excuses for future ducksComment

I am okay with it because Wlad has proved he is the one to beat for the last decade while Wilder hasn't even proved he can beat a top 30 heavyweight. No one should complain that Wlad is trying to unify all the belts. And if you do I believe it is the fact that you don't like Wlad. And it really hasn't got anything to do with Wilder or who ever else may fight for the WBC strapI disagree with you on Pulev's chances vs Wlad, but that's completely beside the point. Pulev has been Wlad's mando for almost a year, and earned that position against very decent opposition by HW standards. And Wlad, instead of facing his own mando (who already waited long enough), is trying to snatch another mando's title shot. Don't tell me you think that's OK.Comment

While I do think Wlad should just fight Pulev, a good opponent on his resume, Wilder being the mandatory at this stage is comical to say the least. Wlad is the champ, if he wants to get the WBC strip next, let it happen sanctioning bodies. As plenty of folks have said in this thread, more fights for Wilder before fighting Wlad would only do everybody good, including us boxing fans. Makes all of the sense in the world when you think about it.Comment

Well the Pulev fight has to happen regaurdless. There's no getting around that. After that, Wlad should fight for the WBC title. I'm pretty sure that's what he is intending. While I do think Wlad should just fight Pulev, a good opponent on his resume, Wilder being the mandatory at this stage is comical to say the least.
