Having similar flags means jack. Ecuador, Colombia, and Venezuela have similar flags. Argentina and Uruguay have similar flags, Panama and Dominican Republic have similar flags, Guatemala and El Salvador, etc. They are like family in the sense all Latin Americans are like family, he´s is just trying to hype the fight. Matter of fact, Puerto Rico and Cuba have no formal relations.

Tremenda quijada asere. lol.
A good chin won't be enough vs Lara though. A tenacious Canelo such as the one vs Mosley I can see giving Lara some trouble. Canelo after that, not so much.Comment

Must be uncomfortable/annoying publicly staring at a guy's mug four days in a row. Aren't staredowns becoming a bit démodé? I think they work great during weigh ins but they're becoming a bit excessive and unnecessary when guys are doing them 7 times leading up to a fight.Comment

I agree with this. If you stare closely into anyone's eyes enough times, you're probably going to start to like them. Even if you're trying to clinch your jaw and seem mad. They should save that for the final weigh-in and the first round. Might take away some of the heat.Must be uncomfortable/annoying publicly staring at a guy's mug four days in a row. Somehow the crowd enjoys it and they start cheering and talking smack. Which as a result pumps the fighters up during the staredown.Originally posted by _original_Must be uncomfortable/annoying publicly staring at a guy's mug four days in a row. It's all just to hype a fight. I suppose it's a necessary evil. A lot of people want to believe fighters dislike each other. After all, that's why people usually fight: out of anger or animosity. These guys don't usually dislike each other personally. They're prizefighters. They fight for money, not for personal reasons. The illusion has to be built for the benefit of the fans and for the sale of the fight. Kind of funny to think that real animosity might develop after all those fake staredowns, though.Must be uncomfortable/annoying publicly staring at a guy's mug four days in a row.
