Why is it that so many Boxing fans will insist the guy they don't like is some kind of Bum? For example, I don't like Mayweather, but I respect his Boxing and Defense skills and feel their ain't no way some fighter who is just considered "Good" is going to chump FMJ out of a win. Say what you want about Mayweather - and I have - he can teach you a thing or two about boxing if you watch him closely.
For that matter, I didn't like Sweet Pea's style...it put me to sleep. And I didn't care for Sweat Pea himself. But...Sweet Pea was an awesome Welterweight and anyone who could beat him should be considered as maybe being a great (at least on the day he fought). I don't like Sweet Pea, but I miss him. Strange.
Of course, after Mayweather is gone, I won't miss him. Like I said, I respect the boxer and the skills, but it stops there.
Take Bradley...many of you don't like him. I didn't like him at first. That's fine...but he definetly should be respected. I mean...this guy has just finished a 4-fight run that was one of the most greuling in recent history. Pacman - Marquez = Provodnikov - Pacman! What is not to respect about that?
Just thinkin'.
