Welterweight: Mayweather retains his crown and adds another belt to his collection, now reigning as a lineal and unified titlist in two classes. In terms of sanctioning bodies, this is supposed to be against the rules but, well, sanctioning fees. Maidana moves up a slot on the strength of his performance, giving Mayweather his toughest night since Jose Luis Castillo. Adrien Broner fought at 140 on the undercard but the decision is to wait a fight to see if he really stays before removal (barring someone else bumping him out). Amir Khan’s win over Luis Collazo was considered but isn’t quite enough to crack the top ten yet.
