come on guys, you know where he was going.

it was the "can man" rant, it only came out sounding bad because grey interrupted him. he said he just beat the **** out of a mexican, had he been allowed to go on he would have said something along the lines of.. "i dont care who is next, anyone can get it. africans, mexicans, puerto ricans, americans.. anyone can get it".

so its actually the opposite of racism, he is saying his opponents are all the same to him and he will fight anyone from anywhere.

he has himself to blame though, regardless of where he was going it started out sounding bad. he chose not to explain himself in or outside the ring too.

this is what he wants though, controversy and attention. i think he is already happy with his accomplishments in boxing and just wants to make all the money he can, even if he does crave to achieve more he still wants to make as much money as possible along the way. his way of doing that is by being controversial in order for people to pay attention to him and eventually buy his fights.

we all know at this point there is no limit he wont cross in order to do so either. he will embarrass himself, his family, his people, set a poor example for his kids.. he doesnt care, AB just keeps dancing for that check, often literally.

I can't stand broner, literally can't stand him but I actually think the punishment is harsh considering what the likes of pederson, chavez, cheato etc got

I'm not a Broner fan but he shouldn't have been banned.

First, I don't think any boxer should be accountable for what he says after fighting 10 rounds. They just fought a full fight ,whether they got there head bashed in or only got hit once, they are not in any frame of mind to do legitimate interviews.
Broner looked like he had trouble breathing when he made that Mexican comment.

Second I didn't find it disrespectful of the Mexican people for him to say that.

If it had been the other way around, a Mexican fighter saying 'I just beat the **** out of a black man', all the people saying what Broner said isn't racist would be singing a VERY different tune. You all know it, so don't deny it you ****ing disingenuous, transparent ****s.

              2 things.

#1 - If it would have been a non black athlete saying the same thing about a black athlete, it would have been a **** storm. The walls would have caved in and they would go after that athlete with pitch forks.

#2 - I think this was a culmination of Broners attitude and actions. He tweeted some racist **** before, his videos, his run in's with the law. I think this was just the straw that broke the camels back.

He should have got the same punishment Donald Sterling got, Does this mean he gets to fight Lamont Peterson for that paper belt WBA ?

yeah but that's more of a reflection on those people with the pitch forks than a solid reason as to why he should be banned. A lot of people these days are far too sensitive and PC i think he should have been punished but a year ban is excessive especially considering the tap on the wrists that drug cheats get. Give him a hefty fine/withhold a portion of his purse etc) but a year ban is harsh (and yes I can't stand broner but unlike most here I try not to let my dislike for a fighter cloud my judgement)

"You know if it was Molina saying he beat up a black boxer he wouldn't be getting banned".

That is not true. If Molina said he had betten the **** out of a black boxer the same way Broner did he would have been banned for life.

As it was a mexican holiday it was very fair. If the idiot dont know when to shut up. Punish him.
