  • First off... I only want Broner to hang around the sport so I can watch him get beat again and again. But this mess about "aww my poor widdle feelings were hurt" has got to stop! They are WORDS for the love of all that is Holy! Words... not bullets, or blades, or bombs. Words are wind. If people want to make racist comments and show their ******ity, so be it. Being ****** isn't a crime (though I really wish it were).

I'm more worried about all the men who've traded their units for vaginas. Get out of here with that "I'm offended... I'm hurt".

If I tell a police officer that a "Mexican" stole my money, they won't be looking for a blonde blue eyed person...LOL

I agree that what Broner said wasn't necessarily racist, but he's being punished for him calling Mexicans on social media "W.etbakcs" and the other stuff he's done like getting into trouble, the videos, and how everytime he's interviewed he drops 20 F bombs.

      I don't see why you people don't ***in get it. It's a HISTORY of his actions and words that lead to this point. PLus I stick by my original premise that if some guy like Kelly Pavlik after knocking out Jermain Taylor was to say;

"I beat that black mother ***ers ass!" Don't for one ***in second tell me that black people wouldn't be OUTRAGED at his comments. That black chick on the View would be talking all kinds of smack, Sp.ike Lee would demand an apology, and Rev. Al Sharpton would be on MSNBC talking about how racism is alive and well.

Don't feed me the PC bull****, we have enough of that going around.
He's not being punished for the ****** ass things he did in the past. He's being punished for they way he acted May third. Now people are being children and getting angry over a dumbass comment and he gets punished for a whole year? WTF?

Dude you're using a an abductive argument to make your point. That **** don't work. When a a white dude says I beat the **** out of a black guy then you can go ahead and get mad and claim racism.

Broner was using he ****** CAN man thing. I bet if he had beaten a black DominiCAN and said I beat the **** out of a DominiCAN people wouldn't be as butt hurt because that's not racist.

No mames ya no sean chillones, eso les pasa en grigolandia se hacen bien pinches jotos y se quejan de todo y nada a la vez...

      • The ban is over the top, and smells of bias. That being said, Broner is a prick.

This, CNN and MSNBC would have their own two hour long segment on why what he said was wrong, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be marching around like headless chickens. He would be fined, suspended, and not picked up by any major network when he came back. All hell would break loose.

          • Over the top. What he said was wacky but not racist at all. He didn't call him anything derogatory; all he said was he beat the **** out of a Mexican. He does take **** talking to new lows but nothing about what he said was racist.

The suspension Broner recieved from the WBC/WBO was justified.
There's no room for this sort of stuff in boxing. Broner offended a culture, in this case, the Mexican culture and worst of all on a Mexican holiday (this is the key point). Imagine if a boxing event held during black history month or Martin Luther King Jr. Day and a Mexican boxer successfully beats an African or African American boxer and made the same remark as Broner.

Post fight interview: "I just beat the f*** out of an African American."

Ethnicity includes race as a factor, but also includes culture.
Any race with its own individual struggles would not take kindly to these sort of offensive remarks pertaining to their respective cultures.

If you think that Broners past didn't play into this, you are in serious denial. Broner set himself up for this from the moment he started up with his ******ity.

You going to call me a joto? Really because I live in the U.S? Wow, now I see who the real racist is.

Easy to be tough behind a computer hu? I'm done with your ****** ass, we are having a discussion and you want to go out like the rest of the ignorant ***s.

                  • Naw,,it's not fair..
I don't think Broner is racist or trying to be racist..
He's just ****** for not thinking before opening his mouth..
Mayweather deserves it more for those racist comments he made about Pacquiao imo.

How excactly did he offend the Mexican culture? Please I'm dying to hear a response.

I could understand if Broner had said "I just beat a ****ing mexican" instead. The supension had merits.

This didn't insult me or anyone in my family. Also just to let you know, May 5th isn't even a big holiday for us. Maybe for people in the US but here it's like any other observed day, some of us even had go to school and everyone works but I digress.
