6 days ago, this thread would have probably been considered a joke.

      It still is.

I love watching Ruslan fight but he is nothing more than a glorified sparring partner.

This thread is a joke, Floyd would sweep him on the cards, maybe even stop him late.

Maidana's not getting enough credit in threads like this. Could Ruslan use his jab like Maidana did? Would he be able to effectively wrestle Mayweather the way Maidana did? Is he as big or strong as Maidana is? Does he have a Robert Garcia to craft the gameplan like Maidana did? Would he be prepared defensively for Mayweather's offense the way Maidana was?

Seriously, give the man some credit. He didn't just walk forward like an idiot and have success.

Maidana was landing his jab with little effort and little trouble. Another indication of Mayweather's age catching up and his reflexes diminishing.

Can someone compare and contrast GGG and Provodnikov? I haven't watched GGG and I don't know much about him other than his KO party.

I've just assumed that GGG is a 20lb heavier version of Provo.

Nothing alike. Golovkin works behind one of the better jabs in boxing and is much more of a boxer with power than a move forward slugger like Provodnikov.

                  Simply put,

Provodnikov is a swarming relentless brawler

GGG is a technical boxer puncher.

But hey, this thread is about Mayweather and Provodnikov. Stop trying to divert the attention away.

Who has Provo fought and defeated that makes you believe he can defeat Floyd? By just glancing at his resume and rethinking the fights I've seen him involved in, I am unable to come to that same conclusion.

A seriously hurt Bradley out boxed Provodnikov very easily for long stretches of the fight, what else needs to be said?
