Why is it such a big deal that Floyd's opponents weigh more on fight night? Most fighters rehydrate, Floyd doesnt. That is not reason to give Floyd extra credit. In fact, since boxing has been around for a long time, its been quite common for fighters to take on guys that are bigger/smaller than them.

I guess people aren't familiar with the cliche looks can be deceiving, which is a cliche because looks can be deceiving.

There is a reason you measure stuff and don't just eyeball it~

Does Homicide Hank Armstrong not get extra credit because he won the 147 pound title as a lightweight. That is always one of the first things brought up about him, as it should be~

You beat bigger men you always get extra credit in boxing because they do seperate the classes by size~

Not just that, but many don't understand that CAMERAS are easily deceiving as well. Distorting perspective. They tend to make a lot of people look bigger than reality.

rehydrating inside the same weight class is a lot different than fighting in a higher weight class. kind of a forced analogy on your part.

im not saying its meaningless, but FAR too much credit is given for it.

Not really just different rules a bigger man is a bigger man, guys who move up in class get more credit because they are challenging them self against physically superior competition.

Anyone who can mitigate size advantages deserves a lot of praise, or do you think the phrase "good big man beats good little man" came from no where
