    Vargas Wins Hands Down

Vargas will definitely win this fight, am even betting on a TKO. Mosley isn't for the jr middleweight division or WELTERWEIGHT. The old Mosley threw nice crisp combinations in lightweight, with damaging body shots. He moves up in weight and all of a sudden he thinks, he's a one punch knockout artist. WRONG. He never was and never will be. Lets analyze all his losses, 2 to Wright, 2 to Forrest, all four he was beaten and knocked out within four rounds, not PHYSICALLY but worst MENTALLY. If Vargas can give him a decent amount of pressure within the first 3 or 4 rounds I see Mosley crumpling mentally as all his previous defeats. I think Vargas corner has figured that, the 'stay away, jabbing, boxing style' isn't the best for Vargas thats why he looked terrible in his last couple of fights. I never had a problem with Vargas' rough, rugged, aggressive style. I think he should have learned how to pace himself, because in the past he tends to get out of control, but I believe this rugged style will give Mosley a hell of troubles if only he learns how to stay in control and he will not be able to sustain such punishment. This rugged style help him pull out victories against Quartey, Winky. Great bouts with Trinidad and Hoya. Vargas by TKO rds 9-10

if this was the vargas of 1999,i could hear what your saying, but this vargas has a buldging disc in his back and does'nt have the same quick movements that he used to,and yes it's true that mosley never been more explosive than at lightweight, but I believe his losses to vernon and winky were more due to their reach advantages,he just couldn't get inside, vargas doesn't have that advantage, with respect to both fighters I think mosely's edge in speed will be the difference

They made a 100,000$ bet on a knock out so that should make it alot more exciting, For some reason I think Vargas will try to be his old self and go for the K.O.

Vargas has a good chance if he keeps the pressure up and seize the initiative. Both guys are basically busted at this point in their careers so the damage factor and wear-tear factors will basically be even.

Mosley definitely has a slight edge on skills against Vargas, but the latter is naturally bigger and also a power puncher.

What I noticed with Mosley is that he has quick combinations but he takes some time to set himself up for those punches. Just like an artilery, he fires then reloads. Vargas can take advantage of this by seizing the intiative and throwing Mosley off balance for the whole fight. I admit it takes a lot of stamina to maintain a pressure offense but it's really up to vargas if he can step the heat up.

Otherwise, if he opts to let Mosley setup, then its a simple matter of Mosley dominating Vargas.

In short, the ball is on Vargas' hands whether he seizes the initiative or not.

I have to disagree with people saying this is going to be a boring fight. If Vargas doesnt run out of steam by the 3rd round I predict Shane will go down in 5
