Comments Thread For: Amnat Ruenroeng Takes Split Nod

Amnat Ruenroeng came up big on the road, handing two-division champion Kazuto Ioka with his first loss in taking a split decision in their flyweight title fight Wednesday evening in Osaka, Japan. Ioka prevailed 114-113 on one card, but was overruled by scores of 115-112 and 119-108 in favor of Ruenroeng, who makes the first successful defense of his flyweight belt.

Crazy. Didnt see it but great win for Amnat. I guess we will end up seeing Ruenrong vs Shiming after all. I just hope they don't rob him in Macao.

Shiming won't stand a chance, but it's odd since people had it competitive and one judge had is a shutout... ridiculous man

Ioka has ability, vitality, and speed better then Amnat Ruenroeng
,but Amnat has better plan that why he win.
Amnat jab was break Ioka attack very often.
The guy who blind judge for Ioka is Hilton Whitaker III from USA.

119-108 is too wide, but I think Amnat clearly won by accurate punches and better defense. With this win over popular Ioka, maybe he will make some money in Japan again...

Amnat Ruenroeng next opponent should be zoo.
If he fight Estrada ,Yaegashi ,or Gonzalez
he may be best flyweight in the world
but if he fight with zoo he will be rich.

I thought Whitaker's card for Ioka was a lot closer than the 119-108 card for Ruenroeng. That's just ridiculous. Eddie Hernandez (115-112 Ruenroeng) had the card that most viewers agreed with
