Why couldn't Floyd move and use his footwork against Maidana?

It's not that PBF couldn't use his footwork, it just took him awhile to gauge Maidana's awkward assault(but, once PBF figured it out, he took off and never looked back). Even a prime Andre Ward was made too look bad against an awkward Sakio Bika.Comment

At first it was more of maidana's attack but as the fight went on and Floyd started to see the shots better I think he layed there some to let maidana punch him self out so he could get back to center ring where chino wasn't as busy he started to use his foot work late stepping out after landing uppercuts or hooks and popping the jab to the body to slow him down then stepping to the side or back to land the right hand.Comment

I seriously thought Floyd was gonna put a Gatti like performance on Maidana "the moment" I heard the fight signed, sure I thought Maidana had better chances as time went on but he did surprisingly well from the opening bell.Comment
