Canelo is well liked, and when he faces a guy who's good they'll buy it. It's Canelo vs a top guy, not really Canelo vs Lara....who the top guy isn't too important unless its a huge name in the eyes of a casual.

Just a quick question - but how can this fight determine 154 supremacy - when Canelo's father, who both sonned him and then orphaned him still holds major titles and lineal claim at 154?
Either way - I think it'll be an excellent fight, one in which Canelo will spark Lara out in 10

Saying no one is there to watch Lara is just ignorant. No, he doesn't have the fan appeal of Canelo... but who else besides Floydie does? Just because a fighter isn't a top 5 in fan appeal doesn't make them a dud with the fans. There isn't just an 'on and off' switch on this issue. I've said on a few other places and here as well... Lara will have his fans come fight night. I would guess 75% for Canelo, 25% for Lara. But really, it wouldn't matter how big Canelo was at the start of the fight... there's a big chance he will get schooled by Lara. This is no cake walk for Alvarez... not even remotely. Looking forward to a great, interesting fight.

This will be a good "boxing" match for sure. I have to go with Lara, but props to Canelo for taking this challenge.
