Comments Thread For: Donaire: Marquez Will KO Alvardo, Lose To Pacquiao

Former world champion Nonito Donaire is picking Juan Manuel Marquez to score a knockout win over Mike Alvarado on May 17th at the Forum in Los Angeles. The winner of that match will get a guarateed shot at WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao.

Although the Mexican star has protested the idea of a fifth fight with Pacquiao, Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach expects him to accept the contest. Roach also expects Pacquiao to avenge his sixth round knockout loss to Marquez from their fourth meeting in 2012. Donaire agrees.

Marquez is the only guy who has given Pacquiao trouble since 2005. So Mayweather-worshipers use him to justify Floyd ducking Manny.

Manny won the first fight clearly...it wasn't even close. The second fight...was debatable I had Manny winning by one point because of the knock down. The third fight I had Manny winning the last two rounds to win the fight 7-5. The fourth fight Manny was doing damage and we all know what happened.

Manny has beaten Marquez 3 of the 4 fights...I really don't think Manny needs to fight Marquez but if it happens again I see it playing out like the third fight with Manny winning and Floyd-worshipers in the media and Pro-American Manny haters saying Marquez won....

Besides the Marquez fights...Manny has been the most impressive fighter of this generation...and he deserved fighter of the decade because he does not avoid fights like Floyd does over the most diva reasons. And Manny has beaten the same opposition as Floyd more impressively with the exception of Marquez...so besides Marquez..all other common opponents...Manny has been more impressive than Floyd.

And we all know Floyd-worshipers only believe in one triangle theory: Manny-Marquez-Floyd

Alvarado, let's allll together make a combined effort to send some postive Chi over Alvarado's way...can't handle a 5th fight..too f'ing much of the same..42 rounds were more than enough.

That's exactly how I feel, but I could see Alvarado getting screwed by judges to setup manny-jmm 5

Really? another Pacquiao v Marquez fight might actually happen? So ****ing sick of this...he fights the same people 100 times. It's becoming a family affair now. Might as well be brothers or something...

When will Pacquiao fight a young strong lion who doesn't look completely drunk in the ring? When will Pacquiao fight someone who doesn't get his legs crossed? When will Pacman fight someone who can throw a straight right properly? when will he fight someone who doesn't injure his leg in EVERY damn fight?

Now he's off to fight the winner of this, which will likely be Marquez. So it'll be the 5th time. So boring.

Pacquiao hasn't beaten Marquez convincingly after FOUR tries, so why should a fifth fight be different. I really hope Marquez doesn't sell out for money, he should not make a fifth fight, that rivalry needs to be shut down asap. Marquez is 42 years old, Manny needs to face some new blood already.

                  Fight 1 : Draw
                  Fight 2 : Pacquiao (controversial)
Fight 3 : Pacquiao (flat out robbery, no debate)
Fight 4 : Marquez (nail in the coffin)

So the case can be made Pacman is 0-4 vs Marquez. why make it 0-5 , just move on.

This is what I'm saying. He's fought the same dudes over and over and over again. Barrera twice, Morales 3 times, Bradley twice, Marquez 4 times. Does he ever get to fight anyone else?? 11 fights between 4 people What a joke.

And as you pointed out, officially he's 2W-1D-1L, but we all know Pacman is really 1W-1D-2L out of his 4 fights with Marquez. So he can't even beat Marquez convincingly after 4 damn tries. Now wants another go at a 42 year old man. SMH

It's laughable when you think about it. And sad when you think just a little bit more about it.
