Red K, for using common sense.

Yes, I believe it was on twitter that Gamboa said he would take less than 500k and Garcia wanted at least 2 mil. for the fight and HBO only wanted to split a purse of 2 mill. So yes, I do not like to say so and so is ducking but let's say.....Garcia sought out other oppotunities. Oh yeah, Mr. Arum was saying who the truck is Gamboa, nobody knows who he is? Arum was trying to protect that 0 Garcia has. But really my opinion is that Garcia would win, Gamboa does not fight enough, got dropped twice in his last 2 fights, looks 180 lbs when he is not training or has a fight lined up. Yes, he did not want to fight Rios when he was under TR. Arum still pissed at him for that IMO. That fight should have happened. But that is what kind of happens when you have a rapper as your promoter who think he can hang with the boxing heavyweights(top rank, golden boy, shhhhiiii, even dibella..lol). Personally also i believe Robert Garcia did not want his brother fighting the cuban buts that just my opinion

            Clear duck.

Below is the article by FatDaN from ESPN just posted about Garcia pricing himself out. Case close.

"This fight is just as good, maybe better than Garcia-Gamboa," Arum said. "We just couldn't live with Mikey's financial demands. A lot of it was fueled by other people, who told him that Gamboa was getting $1.5 million and he was only getting $750,000, which was ludicrous and wrong. But we made a good fight here. Gamboa does have a lot of power, but like most Cuban fighters he's very cautious and a very good boxer. Crawford is superb boxer.

Garcia talks about it at the end of this video. I initially thought he ducked Gamboa too but if his story is true, then I sympathise with him.

                  Interesting statement from Arum there.

                    100% Yes.

Garcia's team was making excuses left and right when ever asked about the fight.

Well Arum says what they weren't getting paid, he doesn't say what they were getting paid.

According to Garcia, they offered him $850k and then $1m whilst Gamboa is getting $1.5m

Is Gamboa worth more than Garcia?
