IMO matthysse is better than maidana. he is more accurate not that wild, and will finish khan if he hurts him, which he will if the fights ever happens

I would have said Lucas before the Garcia fight

but his punch resistance isnt what it use to be, i think Khan has enough power to keep him sweet, if he fights smart, using his reach, height, speed and some clinching he could win a UD. Lucas is very small, which helps Khan out

Obviously at 140 he would destroy Khan, given Khan cant make the weight anymore

Is Lucas going to move up to 147?

Yeah, he's moving up. He said so after the Molina fight. Maybe one more at 140, then he's setting his sights on chasing Garcia to 147lbs.

What makes you say Matthysse's punch resistance isn't what it used to be, though? The first knockdown against Molina was a flash knockdown where he was off balance, and the second was a rabbit punch.

It should also be noted that he wasn't hurt on either occasion.

A year ago at 140, I would pick Matthysse to destroy Khan.

Now, I still pick Matthysse by stoppage but he wouldn't destroy Amir.

But I still voted Amir by decision for obvious reasons.

Khan's movement and size might give Matthysse some problems early. But Matthysse is pretty good at cutting off the ring and has more than enough power to finish Khan. Khan still doesn't seem to like pressure. Khan might Klitschko his way to a victory. But it seems more likely to me that Mattthysse catches up to Khan and knocks him out.

Wonder how he will look at 147

I think Molina had him hurt on other occasions throughout the fight.

It was a great fight, but Lucas should not be struggling with a guy like Molina, it could be down to ring rust or maybe the Garcia loss has damaged something inside him..we will have to wait and see. That wasnt the same Lucas who destroyed Petterson in my book, that fight was suppose to be a walk in the park for Lucus an it turned out to be a brutal battle

I think Molina just showed up in much better shape than people expected him to be in. The fact that he took those monster shots from Lucas for as long as he did was evidence of that. He's also a legitimate puncher in his own right and was obviously the bigger man.

                    Time will tell.
