Now I am not saying that Kessler is shot, but he is, IMO, clearly on the decline and I think that a close loss to a great fighter in Carl Froch in his backyard would be a pretty good way to go.

Furthermore Kessler is an intelligent guy. He speaks clearly and makes sense. He is great at analyzing fights, so place him ringside and put a microphone to his mouth. I'd much rather have Kessler sounding healthy behind a mike for the next 20+ years, than watching him continue his career ending with the enevitable heartbreaking loss.
God knows he would be a great addition to the TV3+ team on Nordic Fight Night!

Serious lack of talent on that show. And Camilla Martin just .. I don't even know what to say.

He would indeed. Mads Larsen is doing good there though.

Camilla Martin? At least she tries. And She's jolly pretty! Post a pic if you can so others can check her out. :wank:

I'd have to say at this point I'd much rather see him have an homecoming fight of sort against someone like Abraham,or Stieglitz maybe.

He took far too much punishment from Frich for my liking.Groves is too fleet footed,GGG by far too heavy handed, look at Mikkel versus Froch ! Ward is just a cheat,if I had to sit through that again I would enjoy it less than the first time.

He's not bad, but they need some more quality. Kessler would give them that.

She's not bad at all, it's just painfully obvious that she doesn't know much about boxing. Which is fair enough I suppose, but I find Danish TVs obsession with hiring female broadcasters absurd when they don't know much about the subject at hand.

          Anyways, enjoy fellas:

He didn't take that much punishment from the Froch fight - in terms of taking a beating at least.

I think a 3rd fight would be awesome for both guys in what ultimately became each fighters career defining fights.

Kessler you had your time........and now it is time to retire and enjoy your life without getting punched in the face. You are in decline and you cannot recapture your past. More fights and you will get hurt. RETIRE !!!

I get your point. But if the man wants to fight on, it's his decision. As you say, he's a bright guy and he knows his own clear decisions. I will look forward to seeing him in action again. He knows himself best.

I will go as far as to agree with you on a couple of points, yes I would love to see it.but not at the expense of what i perceived as taking too many punches.career defining,ja definitely.

I had Mikkel needing the last round to draw last May,taking into account Froch landed the majority of his round winning shots in the twelfth after the low blow,I feel the fight was a inconclusive.

But,on the evidence of that fight I truly believe Mikkel is on the decline.you say he didn't take much of a beating,I suggest otherwise.he looked pretty rough after the fight.Froch throws some big heavy punches, now Mikkel isn't the most fleet footed is he ?

How do you see the fight panning out differently from last time ? Maybe the question should be could it ? I am not talking about the overall result,I mean the fight unfolding itself.

Kessler vs ggg would be interesting, or try and take Abrahams title, and then you could land even more money vs ggg, froch 3, etc

I think GGG should jump on the possibility to fight Kessler. This would be even better fight than with Chavez Jr.
