Russell has fought at Nokia a number of times, I wouldn't say he has an army of fans here but he is at least a familiar face. With it being his first big fight whatever groundwork that was laid might come to fruition for this fight. Esp with Mares on there, I think two of gbp first homegrown fighters so to speak So maybe Stub hub. And of course it's easy for fans to root for Loma because of the risks he is taking so it might do alright

It's a tough fight to predict man, I think Russell, despite his crappy resume, will win a close decision. I'm just not that impressed with the Ukrainian kid as a pro yet despite his amazing amateur pedigree. Who you got?

I honestly have no idea.. I lean towards Russell due to his amazing hand speed, but Russell has never been tested or in trouble.. I think lomo could get him in trouble after a few rounds and may stop Russell..

I think it's a 50/50 fight... And I also think it will be very entertaining..

That's kind of what I'm thinking, too many question marks for both men to make a confident prediction here. I'm actually surprised this fight is happening.

Im sure with mares and guerrero on the card they could get a good number of seats, and stubhub is only 8k. If thurman, lucas can get a goodcrowd. Im sure they can

As of now it's supposed to be a tripleheader featuring Russell Jr. vs. Lomachenko, Mares vs. T.B.A., and Guerrero vs. Kamegai at the Stub Hub Center on June 21st. Mares is going to battle Russell Jr.'s nemesis in this one!

I'm interested in what fight GBP is going to make the main event. I don't think it'll sell well if they make Russell Jr. vs. Lomachenko the main event. Nobody really knows who either of them are yet. All of Russell Jr.'s opponents were no hopers and Lomachenko only has one fight. Although Mares is coming off of a loss I think he should be the headliner. Mares always fills up the Stub Hub Center.

So cal fight fans usually show up at a good card regardless of the main event, especially at stubhub center, great venue for boxing
